Sunday Worship

We hold an unprogrammed meeting, with no clergy or planned program. In silent worship, everyone meets as equals and seating is arranged so we face each other. We sit in silence, and wait to see if a message comes. Anyone could be the instrument through which God, or Spirit, chooses to give a message.

We meet every Sunday at 10:30 with silent worship until 11:30 (accept the 4th Sunday, see below) , followed by discussion and fellowship. We meet in person at the meeting house and virtually via Zoom (See instructions below.).

First Sunday of the month is “Singing Sunday.” We sing together at the Meeting House after worship then have refreshments. The zoom meeting is held separately for this meeting only.

Fourth Sunday of the month – Zoom and in person Meeting for Worship begins at 10:30 as usual but ends at 11:00. Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business begins at 11:00 in the Meeting House and on Zoom. All are welcome to attend whether you are a formal Quaker, an attender or just curious. For those attending in person, a potluck lunch follows this meeting.

If you are attending a worship meeting via Zoom:

  • To recieve the Zoom code please contact us.
  • The Zoom meeting opens at 10:15. If you need to join the meeting after 10:30, you are most welcome, just as you would be at the meeting house.
  • Before the meeting starts, please check that you are muted and mute yourself if you are not.
  • If you wish to offer vocal ministry, unmute yourself and begin by identifying yourself (“This is Tom,” or “Pat speaking.”) Please mute yourself when you have finished.
  • Silent worship will come to a close with shaking of hands at the meeting house and a statement of welcome.
