Religious Education

The Religious Education Committee is responsible for the Quintessential Quaker (QQ) which is a short thought-provoking passage that is a starting point for after Meeting discussions amongst the adults.   The passages are provided by Meeting attenders on a rotating basis.

The committee has developed a flexible protocol for First Day (Sunday) school using a number of disciplines from Quaker studies education and a variety of pedagogies. The programme is called Young Friends. The intent is to introduce and extend knowledge of bible studies, the Quaker approach to the world, Quaker history and a general awareness of the world.  Adult Friends volunteer to act as Young Friends Companions on a rotating basis. The programme is described in more detail here: Young Friends.
